HYDRAULIC FRACTURING - PANEL DISCUSSION Return to Calendar

The Western Museum of Mining and Industry is hosting a panel discussion on hydraulic fracturing. Hydraulic fracturing is a process where pressurized liquid is pumped into underground formations, causing fractures in the formation in order to release oil or gas for extraction.

Representatives of industry, environmental concerns and the media will be represented. The lecture is free and open to the public. The scheduled panelists are:

  • Scott Harvey, Green Cities Coalition
  • Barry Noreen, The Colorado Springs Gazette
  • Pam Zubeck, The Independent
