Hiding and showing camp info
To hide sections of camp info during the off-season, under the advanced tab for each section, add “hide-camp-info” to the “CSS Classes” box. Change the “excerpt” text in the page admin or under the settings tab in Elementor to change the date, price, etc. in the camps feed page. To show the info, remove the text. Ain’t No Mountain High Enough!
The Rocky Mountains are full of unique places, history, and people! In this camp, we’ll stuff as much Rocky Mountain learning as we can into one week. We’ll utilize the historical remains and wildlands of our mountain campus to show off why the Rocky Mountains are so special.
Below is a sample of what campers ages 5–12 will be doing each session:
Explore Rocky Mountain folktales, myths, and legends
Help restore lake habitats and study aquatic critters up close
Practice homesteading skills and hike to a historic 1800s town
Learn about local animals and their ecosystems
Discover stories, traditions, and games of the region’s Indigenous peoples
Identify native plants and hike “through time” to see how the land has changed
Practice field drawing and paint natural landscapes
Play traditional and modern outdoor games
Build friendships and grow confident in nature

At Catamount Institute, we strive to create programs that are enjoyable for as many children as possible. The health and safety of our campers are our top priorities in everything that we do. Due to this, there are some limitations of our program and its staff. We are not able to provide a one-on-one attendant to address a camper’s individual personal needs. We are also not able to accommodate some medical/health conditions that are beyond the scope of our staff’s medical training. Before enrolling a child with any special needs, please contact us to discuss potential accommodations. Our goal is to make camp an equal opportunity for all.
