Catamount Institute’s Young Environmental Stewards (YES) Club, is an award-winning, innovative, science-based program designed for 4th and 5th graders. YES combines environmental science, field trips, guest speakers, community service, and leadership in one fun and active program that will get students outside, excited about science, and engaged in real research.

We need you!

Do you desire to use your education skills in an innovative science and nature based program? Would you appreciate structure with provided training and lesson plans, but the flexibility to adapt lessons to fit your style, students, and location? Catamount Institute is seeking teachers, substitutes, principals, or parents who actively participate at their local schools who would like to start a YES Club.

Learning Outcomes

YES Educators will attend an initial training at the start of each semester to meet colleagues, experience lessons, and obtain resources and materials. Over the course of the semester, educators will teach lessons at the chosen school. YES class size is capped at 13 students and meets for 2 hours per week.

In return for the 40 hours of leading the club, $600 will be paid to you at the end of each semester! (Minimum of 8 students in the club)
