YES Club presents:

Forest Ecosystems

Wander beneath green canopies and among the lush understory and woodland critters to discover the hidden secrets that keep Colorado’s Forests flourishing

Grow Together

This semester, 4th and 5th-grade students are engaged in the hands-on explorations of one of Colorado’s main ecosystem: the forest. Over 11-13 weeks, YES club members learn about tree health, how popular residents of forests adapt to their habitat(including squirrels, woodpeckers, and owls), how wildfires spread, and the elements of fire. With weekly lessons focused on a topic related to forest habitats, students will learn how to safely use fire, dissect owl pellets, discover if their local park is a healthy forest, and build shelters on field trips!
